An incubator for death literacy in Calgary
Dying is a natural and normal part of life but we don’t do it well, individually or collectively. We need new models –and lots of them– to help us find healthier ways to meet death.
A space for sharing skills and knowledge
We hold monthly meetings for networking and education, and are part of a growing movement of professionals and lay people who are helping transform deathcare.
The meetings are fun and inspiring, with dynamic guest speakers, interesting people to meet, and ideas to share.
A clearinghouse for innovative practices, events and ideas
The network’s goal is to serve as a support hub for local initiatives that help individuals, families and communities face death in a healing way.
An enormous demographic bubble will age and die in the next 20 years. The need for healing responses is great, but our collective skills, capacity and passion are greater.
Will you join us?
Everyone is welcome
We meet at 7 pm on the 3rd Tuesday of the month (except July, August, and December)
at the Alexandra Dance Hall in Inglewood
Admission is $20
(Free for current Community Healers’ Council members)
