It’s heartbreaking, when someone you love is dying,
and you can’t be at their bedside.
Lockdowns and closed borders can mean that, a physical level, we can’t visit and care for our dying person. But we’re more than physical beings. We’re also spiritual beings. We can connect at a spiritual level, through ritual practices.
You want to support them, but without tools for working at a distance,
it’s hard to know what to do.
Rituals, like prayers, offerings, and other ‘acts of consciousness’ are tools for focusing and directing energy on behalf of a healing intention. Their power isn’t measured by what we perceive with the 5 physical senses, but in the depth of focus and feeling we bring to them, and by the sincerity of our relationships with the healing powers.
In the time just before and after a death, the veil between the world thins. The bonds that hold the physical world together loosen slightly, as the spiritual world reaches across to collect and welcome the dying person. Spiritual healing interventions, which don’t depend on physical interaction, can support this process.
Join us for a 2-hour session, and learn distance healing techniques to care for your loved one, before and after they die.
- You’ll discover how the body and soul release each other at death, and how you can gently support that process, even from a distance.
- You’ll meet the helpful spirit powers who show up as a person begins active dying, and you’ll learn how to collaborate with them.
- You’ll come away with a set of simple but powerful ritual healing practices for the deathbed and afterwards, and the confidence to apply them as they’re needed.
- You’ll discover new ways to support yourself, because caring and grieving from far away is incredibly difficult.
Dying people are in the process of leaving their bodies, so their consciousness is more attuned to the subtle realms. Spiritual and distance healing practices operate at those subtle frequencies and they offer a powerful but gentle way to support this process.
This course is for those wanting to support dying friends and family members, and also for practitioners looking for practical ways to help clients navigate death at a distance.
Continuing Education Credits: Participants will receive a formal Certificate of Completion for 2 teaching contact hours, suitable for submission for CEs or CEUs (licensure dependant.)
Instructor: Sarah Kerr, PhD
I help dying people and their families connect with each other, and with the innate wisdom of the dying process. Using ritual practices rooted in nature-based spirituality and modern consciousness research, I offer a healing path through difficult times.
I’ve been a ritual healing practitioner and death doula since 2012.
I offer my work in service to all beings, on this side of the veil and the other.
Please be ready to join from a quiet, private space with a good internet connection.
We’ll be doing a combination of teaching, guided visualization, and inner journeying.
The session will not be recorded.
This is one class, offered several times, not a multi-class series.
Group size is limited.
